What is EcTune?

EcTune is a OBD1 Honda based program designed to give the user the ability to modify their fuel and ignition maps while still using the factory ECU or "Computer" It is simular to the Hondata S300 unit and is capable of controlling many other features such as, Nitrous, Meth/Water Injection, Boost controllers, and so on. In order to use the features of this software you must first have a modified ECU, which is chipped. You then have the ability to control the complete Air/Fuel and ignition curve of you motor/setup, create a calibration for running boost, or run 2 different calibrations for race fuel and pump gas at the flip of a switch, as well as datalogging features.

The downside of this progam as it stands today is that only authorized dealer are able to tune with this software, leaving only the ability to datalog onboard sensors to the end user. In the near future you will be able to tune your own setup for a fee, but that is still being worked on as we speak. on a 1-10 scale 10 being the highest I rank this system at a number 7 for tunability and functions available to tune your OBD1 honda setup

does this have any boost by gear type of feature? or something to keep boost down at lower speeds to help traction?

I think it might, I know NepTune does for sure.

Sorry for the late reply, but yes, EcTune has Boost by gear or Boost by RPM. But in order to run this you must run a PWM boost controller linked to your modified ECU.

Neptune does this as well, same as the S300
